Welcome  !

Our Club
The Greenwich Boat & Yacht Club (www.gbyc.org) was organized in 1938 making it one of the oldest boat clubs in this Connecticut town. The club was founded to encourage the sports of Yachting, Sailing, Boating, Fishing and related activities, to support the art of seamanship and navigation, and to make facilities available for its members in the pursue of such sport.
Membership is open to all interested residents of the Town of Greenwich.
The club has approximately 270 members and is seeking new members. Fellowship includes Seafood Bake-Off dinners, St. Patrick's Day Parties, Movie nights, Rock the Docks events, classic New England Clambake, ... you get the idea.  We have fun at GBYC!

Public Service

The club provides facilities to its members and to community organizations and its sponsoring organizations.  The US Coast Guard Auxiliary, the US Power Squadrons, and the Greenwich High School Sailing team are just a few of the groups GBYC supports.

Clubhouse and Marina
Built in 1935 with club funds, our clubhouse overlooks Greenwich Harbor and the island archipelago of Captain Harbor with seating for over seventy on the patio and twice that in the clubhouse. Other amenities include a complete commercial kitchen, gas grills, and showers. Completed in 1970 with funds raised by the club, the Marina berths 67 boats and yachts from 15 to 42 feet, and three moorings.  The club assumes all maintenance and renovation responsibilities for the property, clubhouse, and marina.
